Deadbeat

A deadbeat is a person over the age of 18 with no direction, no job, no ambition. taking a shower daily is a huge accomplishment! A deadbeat doesn't want to work, yet still try and convince young gulliable girls that he does. He will spend their money, and make them work while they play video games. They make other's feel sorry for their deadbeat asses because they talk a good story. Deadbeats do not pay their own way. They sponge off their families, their friends, and any other person dumb enough to give them money. They are a lethal cancer to everyone near them.

You drink Dr. Peper ....deadbeat!
You have no gas( that goes in a car)..deadbeat!
You have no job( thus, why you are a deadbeat).

Dead Phone Syndrome

noun: When you call people, but none pick up, as if simulatenously all telecommunication services are disabled.
Can stretch over the course of an hour to over a day.

Jerry: I tried to call Melissa yesterday, she did not pick up. But as I was bored I decided to call Phillipp, Josef, Sandra, Yvonne and even my mother, but apparently today was dead phone syndrome!

Tom: I have that as well occassionally, ... but hey, you didn't try to call me!

dead pocket

noun; in pool, a pocket where the eight ball has been inadvertently set up early in the game. This essentially means that all other object balls must be deflected from this area to prevent either player from pocketing the eight ball too early and losing the game.

Tony cleverly turned the right corner into a dead pocket, preventing John from scoring on the next shot.

dead broke

"dead broke" is the state of being without any money or any available cash reserves whatsoever. More than just broke or skint it means absolutely not having a pot to piss in. More at brassic or tapped out. It is often used in the form of an oral self-evaluation or a defensive declaration by someone hoping to convince others (e.g., a creditor) that he or she is absolutely unable to meet even a small portion of a pecuniary obligation or debt. Such a declarant may well spotlight their penniless state by pulling out and exposing their empty pockets.

drop dead message

A useless (toy) computer message with no remedial action suggested.
The general meaning is that this is the end of the line and you made the wrong choice in the beginning. Also, a message with remedial action suggested that could have been automated.

I just got a drop dead message that says "UNABLE TO OPEN FILE" as in wouldn't it be nice if the genius programmer would tell us more specifically what the problem is and what we might do about it. If the message says "You must dial a 1 before this number", one wonders why the system couldn't just make life a bit easier.
