OK Boomer

A very dismissive and tired catchphrase only a year old used on social media with memes by the unsocial and smartphone-addicted Generation Z that have no interest in associating with or listening to old people (over 40) or how things used to be, even though today’s Boomers are all between 60 and 80 today. The phrase has been a success at offending older folks on social media wanting their voices heard and respect.
Boomer: When I was growing up, we were outside all day. We drank out of the water hose, rode our bikes all over the neighborhood, and didn’t come home until the street lights came on.

Z’er: OK Boomer!

Peak Boomer

Peak Boomer originally referred to the year 2020, when Baby Boomers were overtaken by Gen Xers in the population, meaning the Boomer Era was over. However, the term Peak Boomer has come to refer to annoying behaviors that Baby Boomers continue to display, such as holding everybody up in the grocery checkout to write a check. One would say "Hey, Peak Boomer, haven't you heard of a debit card or Venmo?"

Generally, people use this term in a derogatory manner, and it often relates to lack of technology skills that younger generations take for granted. For example, a Peak Boomer behavior might be asking you "how do I get to read that article you showed me a photo of? There's no link!" Clearly, the Baby Boomer doesn't know they are supposed to click on the photo. this is a "Peak Boomer" behavior.

Peak Boomer can be an adjective, a noun and even a verb or adverb.
" Last night we were eating out with a group and Jenny's older friends were so annoying. Everyone else used the app to send in their order before we even got there. The Peak Boomers held us up demanding to see a printed menu! "

Non-helpful helpful boomer

The non-helpful helpful boomer is typically found in online groups on Facebook, but can infest other sites. The non-helpful helpful boomer will see a question asked online and will feel a compulsive urge to answer the question, even if they don't have any answers. Some may in fact use the opportunity to brag about something expensive they own to do the job.

For example;

"Hey does anybody know if I can use a printer to print out the templates to use and save some money, as I'm a little broke?"
Nh.h.b: "I would never, it takes too much time, but I do own a brand new top of the line cricut machine that I use to do it all for me."

Other nh.h.b. "I buy mine precut, so I don't know"

Third nh.h.b "Sheep are nice"
I can't use Facebook groups anymore because they are overrun with non-helpful helpful boomers.
