Art that is digital trash attempts to mimic or further push the excessive overproduction of art and content in the digital space. Art that is digital trash has characteristic features of digital memes such as constant repetition and recreation with little variation, along with the widespread use of recycling digital media. Digital trash notably exists as a reflection of the contemporary world through a completely digital lens, unlike most art that is created through viewing the natural world digital trash exists as art created by people who seem to live completely on the internet.

A hand gesture featuring an extended middle finger, which symbolizes the term "Fuck you!" and is usually used to express extreme contempt or rejection of the recipient.
