Long Island

Island that extends from Queens to Suffolk County. Covers a large area of multicultural mixes. Suffolk County contains more than just the Hamptons and is not all rich or all poor. It is south and east of NYC. Although two parts of NYC are on the island the whole island is not part of the city. That is like saying Disneyworld is all of Forida, or Boston is the only city in MA.

However it does have the world's Biggest parking lot commonly known as the LIE.

Also some LIers are from NYC but not all and all LIers are New Yorkers.

2: I wouldn't know I'm from Suffolk County.

1: Oh the Hamptons.

2: No they are an hour away.

1: Oh. Where are you?

2: Here.

1: Never heard of it.

2: Well it is part of Long Island.

Marco Island

A city now in SW Florida where 99.9% of the inhabitants are over the age of 90 but still think they can drive. Also a good place to go if you are between the ages of 14-21 and would like to get harassed by both the locals and local police force alike. Tourist girls that are cute and between the ages of 15-18 are more than welcome and please bring friends

Rhode Island College (RIC) is the mainly girl college that is known for an exceptional education major. Absolutely great school for a guy because the girls wear jeans/short skirts, tank tops, and flip flops. URI guys are very jealous.

URI guy: Hey where do you go to school?

Islam

noun: A monotheistic religion founded by the prophet Mohammad in the 600's. It Means "submission", referring to sumbission to the will of Allah, the supreme deity of Islam. Followers are called Muslims. Their holy book is called the Koran, Kuran, Qu'ran, or Qu'raan. Their holy city is Mecca, located in the Middle East. Important figures in Islamic history and theology include Mohammad, Khadija, Fatimah, Ali Ibn Abu Talib, Abu Bakr, Emperor Akbar, Emperor Shah Jahan, Queen Mumtaz, and many others that I am not aware of. True Muslims are expected to pray in the direction of Mecca five times a day, follow the month-long partial fast of Ramadan as well as other cultural festivals and fasts, and not worship any other gods except Allah.

OPINION: I know many Muslims and they are all free-thinking, secular, and wonderful people, BUT it cannot be denied that some of the most powerful figures of the religion are cruel and vindictive - therefore the faith gets negative attention from the media - attention that is well-deserved, but simply should be redirected to the individuals and groups that choose to interpret Islam in a horrible way. And others here need to get off their high horse and realize that Islam DOES have flaws, just like any other religion, and DOES leave room to be interpreted in a violent way. Even if they are "0.01%" of your population, accept that the majority of terrorism comes from Islamic fundamentalists. How about this: We promise not to judge you all as a group if you promise to take a stand against your misguided brothers with us.

There's a lot of controversy today about Islam and where it stands in modern, secular society.

Island Poop

The origin of the name is in latin. Loyal, affectionate and lots of sensuality, seeks to be always showing your love all the time and expect your beloved to do the same. Overprotective and very practical, someone ready to help in solving the problems of the people closest. But it has a strong tendency to chafe when not accept your help or advice. Very worried about the money, something that you like so much! Possessiveness and dependence temosia are aspects which must flee. Stunning.
