A "pink elephant in the room" is a phrase used to say that there is something very obvious, one cant miss it, yet no one wants to be the person to point it out or talk about it. Its assumed that everyone has noticed it. It may be that pointing it out is politically not correct, impolite, or offensive.
This phrase was first introduced by Sam Senev who brought an actual pink elephant to a speech as a social experiment. After the speech the audience was polled about their opinion. He often uses the same pink elephant in meetings and speeches.

The Baby Diaper Elephant

These tiny aquatic animals have evolved to be born with diaper; urine stains inhabit their fluffy white diapers. The only problem is that these baby diaper elephants have devoloped a taste for human flesh. At the stroke of midnight they prowl the columbian streets of venezuela, searching for thier next victim. They tend to go for the small fat african american children. The children spill milk and honey attracting the baby diaper elephants, which travel in packs. They first kill their victims by injecting them wiht a potent toxin, which is stored in their tusks. Which embolizes the victim, they always start at the toes and work their way up. The baby diaper elephants have no skin; they search for human skin to replace their rotting flesh. The baby diaper elephant has a foul odor, which attracts the oppostie sex, which is used for mating with other baby diaper elephants. The odor of the baby diaper elephant can be described as a mixture of feces limburger cheese and sweaty feet. The columbian Government has tried to keep these putrid beasts under raps but word of mouth has caused a stampede of controversy. The first military base dedicated to the study of the baby diaper elephant was established in 1973 about 1-kagillion years ago in 1997. The first fatality caused by the baby diaper elephant was Juan Stinkeranzo of Madagascar. He was found dead with his skin ripped off in his million-dollar bungalow in New Yorn city, California. The putrid stench had left a huge imprint in our hearts and soul; we send our deepest sympathies to his family Maria and Jose Stinkeranzo who both wish to remain anonymous.

A costly and troublesome hallucination which nobody wants to mention.

It's also an intentionally confusing combination of the expressions "white elephant", "pink elephant", and "elephant in the room", which are now being conflated on the internet.

K: It was the pink elephant in the room.

B: You mean "elephant in the room"
K: No, I mean pink elephant in the room
B: I don't think that's a thing.
K: So what's a pink elephant?
B: Maybe I'm confused with a white elephant?
K: googles it
K: Look! It's on Urban Dictionary! I win.
B: This is the white and pink elephant in the room.
K: I think you're hallucinating.

2) One, or few, white person(s) among many members of another race.

3) A morbidly obese white person. (Rare).

elephant in the room

The shameful 45th president, whose narcissism and delusional thinking has led to countless American deaths from COVID and the shameful insurrection of January 6, 2020. Intelligent leaders and informed/concerned citizens cry out for his impeachment and resignation, but Republicans (ironically represented by the party symbol of AN ELEPHANT) continue to ignore, preferring the narcissistic personality disorder technique of “hoovering” to protect themselves and attempt to dupe constituents and get back into their good graces.

It’s a shame that social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook are more proactive in dealing with the elephant in the room than our elected leaders, who are instead choosing to distance themselves from Trump rather than hold him accountable for his actions.
