This is an indirect way of referring to oneself as having some extra weight or insufficient tone, necessitating a crash diet and serious exercising before the summer.

When the moment she was dreading could no longer be avoided, Marie found that she was not bikini ready. Sigh!

Not a hill I want to die on

A military expression referring to an issue that the speaker wants to address, but recognizes would be too much hassle to deal with. It's a metaphor for realizing that, although you want to defend your "hill" from attack, to do so would be suicidal given the much stronger enemy, and this particular hill isn't so vital that you should give up your life for it, so it's best to just retreat.

- "The Colonel wants to kick off the exercise on Monday, but we're really not going to be ready until at least Tuesday. But that's not a hill I want to die on, so I'm just going to go along with what he wants."

- "Look, I understand you're upset about them demoting Corporal Thompson, and I know you want to go argue his case with the Sergeant Major, but is that really a hill you want to die on?"

A sharp and witty comeback suitable for any situation when you hear someone doubting themselves. Was once used exclusively by the likes of parents, teachers, and coaches as a means of inspiration, but has now been introduced into peer to peer situations as a way of mocking one anothers' piss-poor attitudes.

Jerry: Man, I will never be able to find a good job!

Paul: Not with that attitude, you won't!

Lisa: I'll never get John to give me a Las Vegas Chainsaw!

Jennifer: Not with that attitude!

Intentionally offbeat, blunt, and sarcastic Australian humor to exclaim that you mean business and you're not here to waste time.

It's also rhyming slang with "not here to kick the tires" of a car for sale, which has a similar meaning.
