Core concepts include feedback, homeostasis, emergence, and the cyborg as a hybrid of organism and machine.

Cybernetic science investigates how systems self‑organize, how to design robust control mechanisms, and how to model complex adaptive systems. It often blurs the boundaries between natural and artificial, treating both as information-processing systems. The field has applications in engineering, neuroscience, ecology, and even social policy.
