paav-wala

Bombay Hindi slang for a Christian usually of Goan or Anglo-Indian descent. Paav refers to a dinner-roll like piece of bread used as a wrapper in a variety of street foods. The term refers to the propensity of Christians to consume large amounts of bread (as opposed to rice or wheat - the traditional staples)
It is usually employed as an adjective: e.g. paav-wala English
A hindi dialect that consists of both hindi and english words mixed in, usually spoken by persons of Goan descent. It results from the tendency to speak English at home and Hindi and English elsewhere

Example of paav-wala English: Bugger don't yap ok. One bloody kaanpatti you'll get no, you'll see stars in the day man. (As spoken by Javed Jaffrey in the song 'Mumbhai' from Bombay Boys. The movie is littered with snatches of this dialect. Words like 'bloody' and 'man' and are frequently employed as a way of expressing intensity and familiarity respectively. As a side-note bloody and bugger are considered curse words in most adult Indian English conversations.

Walmarting is what all your friends know you did, but never actually saw you do. Walmarting is an alleged sexual interaction that others suspect happened or will happen due to viable circumstance.

Jason and Ashley disappeared from the party together, they were probably walmarting.

Walmart

The largest retailer in the world, the second largest corporation in the world and now the largest grocery and toy retailer in the USA. When Wal-Mart moves into an area it creates traffic problems and environmental problems. Is known for its bad public relations, slave wages and benefits that match, predatory pricing, use of cheap foreign labor to produce it’s goods in countries such as China, Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam, and often employing illegal immigrants for dirt cheap wages here in the USA…all the while advertising it’s phony patriotism.

Known for its large box like appearance and super massive parking lots with no trees. Walmart is crowded with people who do not have the best hygiene and are often overweight due to the excessive junk food they purchase at Walmart. Perhaps one of the worst things Walmart does is to move into an area, drive out all other businesses and then close down, leaving the area decimated.

Walmart is the single largest importer of foreign produced good in the USA. So I guess that’s what they mean when they say in their commercials “Bringing it home to the USA”?
