Panhandling

Like selling lemonade, except without the lemonade, imagination, or even pretense of actually giving anybody anything in exchange for the dollar signs seen and taken.

Some of those guys/girls panhandling weren't really broke, he/she actually has more money than you and lives like a king or queen when nobody is looking, but wants attention when they are looking. Some of them have already taken enough from people without the panhandling to try and insult their intelligence.

A person who attempts to monetize their actions through social media platforms usually via the form of donations, ad revenue, or product placements. Often they may beg or pressure their audience to donate, engage with their content ("like" and share), or use their product codes. One common trait among e-panhandlers is they might have a subtle, but noticeably disingenuous demeanor as they are not doing something out of passion, but instead purely for selfish gain, be it monetary or fame. Even so, they may be brazen enough to self-promote or not even attempt to hide their lack of understanding or enthusiasm in the subject matter. Their "work" contributes little to nothing to society and is an overall net negative, as consumers of their content would be much better off doing anything but consuming their content and even sending their hard earned (parents') money to them, and the e-panhandler could instead get a real job.

Not all content creators are e-panhandlers, but many are due to their production of low effort content that is most likely unoriginal or even plagiarized. Common platforms e-panhandlers use, but are not limited to, are Instagram, OnlyFans, Patreon, TikTok, Twitch, Twitter, and Youtube. Streamers are extremely likely to be e-panhandlers as streaming requires little to no production effort/investment and can be done in the background of the action they are performing on stream.
