An informal term used primarily when a person is extraordinarily high on THC in the parking lot of a fast food chicken restaurant becomes irate after the vegan girlfriend of the driver of the vehicle protests patronizing an institution that abuses animal rights and insists on leaving without purchasing food, therefore irritating the hungry baked person who intensely craves the almighty secret 11 spiced recipe fried chicken, resulting in a incoherent tirade of slurred words describing the importance of their hunger.

Ashley: "I don't want to go here, lets just go home."
Matt: "Okay."
Sivad: "Dude we're hungry."
Kate: "Fuck you, lets go inside and eat some fackin chackin!"
Everyone: *laughter*
Ashley: "Oh man, Kate. You are totally baked."
Everyone: *laughter*

checks and balances

A system states in the US Constitution that allows one branch to cancel or rule out another branch's actions. This is only if there is a logical explanation for the cancelation of the action.

The legislative branch wanted to give President Bush balloons for his birthday, but the jurisdicial branch used checks and balances to stop them from doing so. Bush was sad and ordered a cake of his own with a picture of Osama on it.

Chucks

Chucks are shoes put out by Converse. the complete name for them is 'Chuck Taylors'. I've also heard them reffered to as 'Connies', but this sounds lame (in my opinion).

People have already listed a whole lot of steroetpyes that wear chucks (really anyone can wear them, they look great and have a really simple design) but no one has mentioned the B-Boys of the late 70s through to the 80s.
While everyone know Adidas Superstars are strongly embedded in this period of history, Chucks are often overlooked.

I've seen images of B-Boy rocking chucks with the tongues out (postitioned outside of their jeans) and with FAT laces.

Just thought everyone should know. When i think of Chucks, i think of B-Boys and the Ramones.

"Oh wow, man. Look! Lil' Johnny just pulled off some made breakin' in his fresh new Chucks!"

lace my chucks

Used in the Jack's Mannequin song Bruised (see example sentence for the line that used it) lace my Chucks is a slang word for tying my shoes, specifically Converse. The popular type of Converse shoes are actually called Chuck Taylor's, so the phrase lace, meaning to tie, and Chucks meaning Chuck Taylors, Converse, or shoes.
