cryptozoo

An absolute scam started by Logan Paul and a development team of cronies upon the emergence of Web3 scams. A cross-chain yield token between Eth and BSC. Famously exposed by journalist Coffeezilla in a three part exposee. Paul claims the project is not over, but those scammed are supposed to receive $1.3 million in support.

cryptofolk

Cryptofolk is a new style of storytelling within the existing Folklore/Mythology literary genre.

Regional folk tales are often lost and obscured through time or remain localized within their specific community. These stories contain themes and archetypes that resonate across cultures and borders, providing an opportunity for others to learn and grow through the discovery of these powerful legends.

Cryptofolk (Crypto, from the Greek kryptós, meaning hidden and Folk, archaic for people or tribe) resurrects old and obscure folklore and legends from around the world. It uses descriptive narrative and various multimedia applications to present stories that are thought provoking, visually rich, and accessible to a global audience.
Cryptofolk Story - The Nain Rouge: Detroit's Red Dwarf

The Nain Rouge (or Red Dwarf) had been a part of the natural world, existing long before the coming of humans. The Nain Rouge made his home near the narrow straits between the two lakes. This was the area that the later French settlers were to name “Detroit”.

As the Steward of Straits, the Nain Rouge was responsible for keeping harmony and balance in the natural world near the straits of the great river.

It was not until the French settlers arrived that the Nain Rouge began causing trouble. It seemed that Antoine de Mothe Cadillac and his band of explorers bought some land from the natives, while stealing other tracts of land without cause or permission.

Cadillac welcomed the Nain Rouge into his quarters, only to mock him and decry his stewardship over the land. A quarrel began and soon turned into an angry brawl, causing great injury to Cadillac and his officers. The Nain Rouge was beaten mercilessly during the fight and fled from the settlement in anger and pain.

As he ran away, a curse was flung from his lips onto the entire region of Detroit. The curse, it is rumored, befalls anyone who creates evil of their own will, empowering the Nain Rouge with greater and greater strength throughout the centuries.

Now, the Nain Rouge is often seen just before a tragic event; a harbinger of doom that revels in the downfall of humanity.

cryptodouche

Derogatory term for that friend of yours who won't shut up about Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. Brags about his virtual millions and how early he invested. Often found unconvincingly rambling about how Blockchain will revolutionize something that's been working just fine for centuries.
"My gen0 CryptoKitties have already quadrupled in value since yesterday!" explained the cryptodouche, as he pulled up a site showing his expensive virtual pets.

Cryptozoology

The study of hidden animals. Animals that may or may not be real but some people believe in them because they have either seen them, or they believe evidence of their existance.

cryptozoologist

People who pursue animals that are undescribed and unsubstantiated by modern science, yet are alleged to exist based on legend, hearsay, and eyewitness sightings. Examples of animals that cryptozoologists study and pursue are the sasquatch, the yeti, and the Loch Ness Monster, among many others.

The strongest argument against these legendary animals is often the unlikeliness of such large animals existing so long without even a dead specimen, in reasonable condition for study, being discovered.

Although mainstream biologists believe that a large number of animal species are still unknown, these are generally small species (e.g. insects) that require a trained eye to distinguish from known species, and are not fantastic enought to arouse the curiosity of the cryptozoologist, whose interests lie in large animals that would generate great publicity.

Cryptozoologists often defend their pursuits by citing the capture of such previously undescribed animals as the giant squid, the coelocanth, the okapis, and mountain gorillas. However, it should be mentioned that sea creatures such as the giant squid and the coelocanth have the vastness of the ocean in which dead specimens will easily vanish and live creatures can easily evade detection. Additionally, the skeletal remains of mountain gorillas and the okapis are not so extraordinary that an untrained eye would find anything unusual and they might be overlooked whereas the skull of a creature such as sasquatch would be so out of place in the North American woodlands that it would certainly arouse suspicion if found.
Some of the animals that cryptozoologists seek would be incredible finds that scientists would welcome the opportunity to study if only skeletal remains or the soft tissue of a recently dead animal could be found.

cryptoecotheocracy

A form of government similar to ecofascism which is run by ecofascists for ecofascists at the exclusion of non watermelons, motivated by quasi-religious Gaia worshipping with the task of preventing an imagined future ecological catastrophe via mandatory human sacrifice, secretly controlled by a green-left oligarch, whilst consistently pretending to the public that it is a reasonable capitalist democracy and that any contrary accusation must be hysterical conspiracy theory.

Signs of cryptoecotheocracy include:
* corporate greenwashing driven by the desire to appear friendly to a cryptoecotheocratic government, whereas an admitted ecotheocracy would see through the greenwashing and make obvious interventions.
* imposing taxes of greenhouse gas emissions based on an unscientific rationale whilst pretending further progress in climate science is either not occurring or not needed.
* government propaganda which glorifies the required sacrifices whilst insisting the "science is settled", whereas an admitted ecotheocracy has no need of science and a democracy has no need of propaganda.
* an officially non-Greens government which in practice cannot pass legislation without Green Left support.

Since the combination of duplicity and scientific ignorance that creates a cryptoecotheocracy cannot be sustained for much more than a decade, a cryptoecotheocracy is likely to rapidly evolve into one of three different political systems: ecotheocracy, democracy, or a Green State.
1. The government of the UK has been a cryptoecotheocracy since the EU took over around May 2003.
"The EU under the influence of its dominant Greens is progressively adopting policies that will trammel its industry and drive its economy into the ground."

2. The government of Australia became a cryptoecotheocracy on 12 Oct 2011.
"I have with me a rather weighty document. It is all of the submissions given to the carbon tax inquiry, but that were knocked back by the carbon tax inquiry. Some 4½ thousand people who sought to have their say were simply ruled as correspondents only."
