Temperature is the concept of the amount of heat energy in a given volume and is measured in the
unit °C, celsius, and °F, fahrenheit which uses a different scale from celsius. Celsius is a commonly used
unit that generally sees usage in the european countries, while fahrenheit is generally used in the USA. Temperature is, in everyday use, used to define if it's hot or
cold outside with a standpoint in either
water's freezing temperature, a human's comfortable temperature range or other. A high temperature can be defined as "
hot" while a low temperature can be defined as "
cold". A increase in temperature can be defined as something getting "warmer", while a decrease in temperature can be defined as something getting "colder".
Person 1: "It's pretty
cold outside today... What is the temperature?"
Person 2: "Its -10 degrees."
Person 1: "That's a pretty low temperature."
Person 2: "
Yeah. I would wish it could get warmer."
