Popunk

A combination of "pop" and "punk", popunk defines bands that try to be punk, but they're too cute. And yet, they're a little too hard to be pop. They're neither pop nor punk, but have elements of both. These bands are sometimes classified as alternative, but they're not.
Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy, and My Chemical Romance are great examples of popunk bands.
