A place a child or teenager is sent to learn skills that are as useful as they choose to make them later on in
life. It is highly useful, but incredibly underappreciated by the majority of those of school age, particularly Americans. It is also a place where these same students
will be told repeatedly that 'These are the best days of your
life.' They
will be told that until they are old enough to realize that nobody who wasn'
t rich, brilliant, or an exceptional athlete in a highly competitive school would EVER go back to their high school years given the opportunity.
When I got stationed in South Korea, I realized that if I'd studied as hard as the locals in school, I could have
made plenty of
money and helped many people without ever joining the
Army at all!
