Memory loss caused by the amount of time since you last visited your family. Usually follows a long holiday visit, then an extended absence.
Jane's visit home last year was a real bummer, but now that it's been awhile she is excited to visit. Guess she developed famnesia.

Farmnesia is the yearly forgetfulness that happens to most farmers and gardeners that keeps them coming back for more the next year, despite oftentimes having major struggles. This amnesia happens when you grow seeds, watch most die, plant the ones that survived, water them until they grow, & get upset when many got killed by fungi / diseases or are eaten by insects / animals. You put so much hard work your garden and your brain suppresses the bad outcomes. Thus, you forget how hard it was (hence amnesia). You end up doing the same cycle the very next year because you forgot how hard it was the year before.
I think farmer Joe has a farmnesia. The last three years he had no luck with his garden, but he’s doing it again… happily.
