wikiphile

One who loves and lives for tampering with collaborative websites where content can be edited by anyone who has access to it, causing the content to be unstable and unrelialbe.
Your mom is such a wikiphile. Last night, she found an article on wiki-how-to that explained how to roller paint a room. Everywhere she found the word "paint" in the article, she replaced it with the words "horse cum."

"Going down a wikihole" is a term used to describe the phenomenon in which one opens a wiki article about something cool, clicks on a link to another article about something ever cooler, and eventually comes up for air 6 hours or so later after having clicked on all manner of related cool wiki links. The word is based on "wiki" as in "wikipedia" plus "hole" as in rabbit hole, and is inspired by the notion that wikipedia offers its own highly seductive type of single-user rabbit hole. It is similar in meaning to "wikitrail" but implies a certain loss of control at some point.
Damn! It's already 2 a.m.! I just wanted to look up this one thing about coffee and ended up winding my way through a four-hour wikihole!

Wikiplebian

An everyday, lowly and unimportant member of the Wikipedia community whose views are regarded as unimportant by the Wikipedia elite. A portmanteau of Wikipedia and plebian. Alternative spelling: Wikiplebeian.
Wikipedia Editor #1: what does that commoner think he's doing, editing my article?
Wikipedia Editor #2: I know, what a Wikiplebian!

wikiphilia

A powerful obsession with Wikipedia. A wikiphiliac may:

-turn to Wikipedia as the first and only source of information for a topic

-relentlessly defend Wikipedia's factual accuracy

-become uncomfortable when hearing information that he/she has not read on Wikipedia

-access Wikipedia several times a day

-spend much more time on Wikipedia than originally intended

-Wikipedia race

-compulsively switch to other Wikipedia articles, using the hyperlinks within articles, often without obtaining the originally sought information and leaving a bizarre informational "trail" in his/her browsing history (Such as from "Hmong language" to "list of most prolific serial killers")

-access Wikipedia for recreation

-enter a trance-like state while reading that is disorienting to exit

-constantly disseminate information read on Wikipedia
Patient: Doc, I can't stop reading Wikipedia. I'm on it for hours a day! My wife says she's going to leave me because I don't believe anything she says. I have to check it on Wikipedia first.

Doctor: It sounds like you have wikiphilia.

Patient: What's that?

Doctor: Look it up on Wikipedia.
