psychologer

Rather than a psychologist or psychiatrist, a psychologer has no formal training but derives his or her theories and practises from New Age -principles; by using any source available to understand the human mind. The word combines the words astrologer and psychology, bringing it toward spiritual and intuitive knowledge over scientific approach to understanding the human mind. As he or she comes from the New Age background, they acknowledge the (possible) existence of the immortal soul that reincarnates. They are a psychologist of the soul rather than a psychologist of the mortal person. A psychologer is someone who works toward creating new theories and practises to help people solve their psychological problems; a step up from "a life coach" who uses every day knowledge and certain common New Age practises for the same thing. A psychologer has their own studies and theories, where as a life coach most likely does not; therefore, a rare individual.

Earlier, the word was used for a psychologist, one of the early forms for a psychologist, and the term refers to the exact idea; early onset psychology; non-proven science, and ground breaking, officially non-approved practises in the field of psychology.
"My psychologer believes I should try and remember some of my past lives to fully understand myself."

Psychologize

To tell yourself facts to get rid of a fear. To give yourself reasons to not be afraid
"I psychologized my fear of the roller coaster. Over 1 million people have ridden it and have not died."

"I used to be afraid of heights by I psychologized my way through it"

"Bungee jumping sounds scary! But I'm psychologizing myself to not be afraid."

psychological dickhead

Someone who makes a situation unnecessarily stressful or inconvenient in a manner that benefits nobody. Often includes usage of emotionally manipulative tactics such as gaslighting, moving the goalposts, and guilt-tripping.
P1: "If you don't buy this off me I'll burn it all."
P2: "What is the point of doing that? Just give it to me."
P1: "Nope, $600, take it or leave it."
P2: "Oh my god, you're such a psychological dickhead."

clerical psychologist

A term that darkly mocks what clinical psychology has become in this data-heavy, lawsuit-driven world which often values documentation of treatment more than the treatment itself.
I feel like I should be called a “clerical psychologist” because the time needed to appropriately document the clinical contact, required by the state, can eat up the entire hour, leaving me with no time to interact with the patient!

Reverse reverse psychology

Basically just plain ol' psychology. Reverse reverse psychology only exists when the other person assumes that you are doing reverse psychology on them (when you are not).
Sgt McDonut: "I wouldn't press the button that says 'eject' if I were you."

Pvt Cummings: "I know you're just reverse psychology'ing me, so I won't."

Sgt McDonut: "And that's exactly what I wanted you to do. The button was to eject me out of the plane, not you. Thankfully I factored in the possibility that you would think I'm doing reverse psychology. And even if I was unaware of your mental gymnastics, your reverse psychology guess would've screwed you anyway because the eject button for your seat was in my hands all this time. Get reverse reverse psychology 'd son."

Reverse Reverse Reverse Psychology

When you make the move that your opponent thinks you wouldn't do because they thought you would make the move they expected you to do because they think you were avoiding using the move that they wouldn't expect you to do.
Guy 1:How did you win that game?

Guy 2: I used Reverse Reverse Reverse Psychology, and his brain hurt so badly that he just surrendered

Psychological Video

The opposite of a realistic ghost video.

Popular in the early 2000s, they usually contained more obvious editing and special effects than regular Ghost videos, which were supposed to be taken seriously.
Guy #1: Omg this video is so creepy, I would've moved out of that house if I were them!

Guy #2: That's not a ghost, it just a Psychological Video.
Guy #1: Well then nice editing. I guess I'm gonna have nightmares now.
