Guitar virtuoso who excelled at an early age and went on to cover a wide range of styles, including blues, rockabilly and even some jazz. He had a particularlyincredible right hand technique which made heavy use of hybrid picking with flatpick and fingers, and an amazing ear. Was nicknamed "the humbler" and "the world's greatest unknown guitarist". He tragically committed suicide in 1994.
X is amazing on the guitar, but he's no Danny Gatton (where X permits a remarkably large number of substitutions).
Technically, anyone with the misfortune to be dwelling in the evolutionary mudtrap that is the small town of Gatton, Queensland. More often, however, it is used to specifically refer to the semi-sentient native dwellers of this town, rather than those who have moved there within the last couple of generations. The former species are, almost without exception, inbred, ignorant, and utterly incapable of comprehending anything beyond their tiny, potato farming existance.
