Shitterdirt is the dirt that is left in a pile next to a hole that has been dug to use as a shitter. The dirt is set aside and saved to fill the shitter hole in once it has become full of shit.

shitterature 

Literature that one would take to the shitter, hence the term. Sunday funnies, album notes, and yearbooks are all good examples because they tend to distract from the dank smell of your feces. Shitterature usually does not include novels or any other piece of literature that requires concentration.

I didn't bring any shitterature with me so I was trapped reading the shampoo bottles' ingredients.
