ponzi scheme

1) A phrase used by idiots for any type of scam.

2) A specific type of scam. The operator (often from nigeria) of the scam promises "investors" that their money will be doubled in a certain number of days. The operator depends on the money provided by later investors to pay off his obligations to the earlier investors. This turns out splendidly for the early investors (assuming that it takes off), but later investors get the short end of the stick, as no more people are enrolling. At this point, the operator usually takes the money he has left and runs. This generally sucks for the later investors. Not that I care, because you have to be a total dumbass to enroll in a ponzi scheme anyhow.
1) Bill: these people are trying to make me think I can get a free iPod for answering a survey. Looks like a ponzi scheme to me.
Me: Bill, you dumbass. That's not a ponzi scheme.

2) Just great. I just got another one of those get-rich-quick spams. I'm amazed that anyone buys into ponzi schemes.

Jay-Scheme

Jay-Scheme or Jason-Scheme is the exact opposite of a Ponzi-scheme.
It is a legal investment or selling operation in which the seller pays for the customer's discounts with his/her own money.
The Jay scheme usually collapses within itself due to the fact that the seller is unable to sustain financial stability.
It can also collapse due to legal authorities taking action by administratively dissolving such a company for its inability to file for tax return.
"Yo did you hear about Tom selling that vinyl he bought for $5 to some guy on ebay for only $2?"
Yea he totally pulled a Jay-Scheme on that one !

Based Banana Advertisement Scheme

Use bots and server advertising. Lie about its information and when people come inside the server, say "The (server) is attacking and harassing us nonstop. Wanna help us try to get them back?"
"How many members can you pull into our server"
"If luck chimes in then at least 25 using the Based Banana Advertisement Scheme"

ponzu scheme

When a Japanese restaurant serves the wrong sauce.
I was the victim of a ponzu scheme at a Japanese restaurant when I asked for low-sodium soy sauce and they gave me regular soy sauce.

Kardashian Scheme

Creating situations to generate income and attention from sponsorship and press using a false or fraudulent platform.

Such situations can and may include:

Planning and undertaking a fake engagement and wedding.
Secretly assisting in the release of a Sex Tape featuring you.
Appearing on a show about dancing, when you can't dance.
I can't believe I paid one million dollars to release the first photos of this wedding after it turned out to be fake, this is such a Kardashian Scheme.

Fonzie Scheme

The act of buying and subsequently wearing a leather jacket in an effort to look tough, cool, virile, or otherwise appealing. A Fonzie Scheme is usually run by someone who in fact is NOT any of these things. The name derives from the name of Arthur Fonzarelli, star of the sitcom "Happy Days," who is the epitome of leather-jacket-wearing cool guys.
Did you see that Tim, the shy guy from IT, is wearing a leather jacket today? That dude is totally trying to pull a Fonzie Scheme and score chicks.
