Patriarchy 

A standard set on society which affects both men and women. This sets the standard that men should be the leader of the home over the wife and children. Another standard which is set for men is that they have to hide their emotions, or they’ll be looked down on in society. For the women, one of their standards is that they have to be the stay-at-home wife, the caretakers, the weaker sex. Another standard that women have to live up to are the beauty standards. A few of them are having no body hair, having a low amount of fat on the stomach area but large breasts, ass, thighs and a small waist.

There are 4 people having a conversation about the patriarchy. 2 Men, 2 Women

Man 1: Hey ‘Woman 1’. Aren’t you a believer of the patriarchy?

Woman 1: Yes. I believe that only women are opressed by the patriarchy. The beauty and stay at home standards.

Man 2: But what about men?

Woman 1: They are the ones who set the standards.

Woman 2: So are you saying there aren’t any standards against men?

Woman 1: Yes, In my belief.

Man 1: But what about the idea that all men need to be this masculine image that no-one can live up to.

Man 2: Or the fact that we need to hide our true emotions from everyone.

Woman 2: Yeah, the patriarchy affects us all. Men, women, between races and ethnic groups, rich, poor.

Patriarchy 

Patriarchy: A belief system and culture of oppression that has been running rampant in western civilization for the last 10,000 years. This belief system suppresses the feminine principal in both females and males alike and causes a suppression of emotions, compassion and caring in our world. It also shows up as a suppressive thought form that believes that the masculine principal is in charge of nature and can do whatever "he" wants regardless of the circumstances. Although, some believe this no longer exist (due to women having external rights) it is rampant in our underlying subconscious and unconscious beliefs as a culture.

The suppressive forces of the patriarchy within her psyche has caused her to bulldoze the sacred indigenous lands. She is ignoring how she really feels and instead is choosing profits over her heart.

A confusing system in which men have power (good job, lots of money, strength, good education) and expect women to be submissive (have no job/make little money, weak, be kinda smart but not too smart).

A system of rules that translates to "rule by the father" in which men control the political and economic resources of society.

Man- Hey Margret wanna grab a drink after work?
Margret- sorry I don't have enough to pay for drinks tonight

Margret- ya and I only make 77 cents to your pay. Blame the damn patriarchy.
Man- WTF are you talking about ?!?!? Stupid bitch the patriarchy doesn't exist. You just don't want to get a fucking drink with me cunt

Later Margaret is found dead in her car. Police suspect it to be caused by a random lion who got out of the local zoo because they don't want to blame the real killer
