Geek Sesh

To geek is to laugh or to have a quick feeling of amusement. A geek sesh happens when one or more persons (usually friends) are geeking for extended periods of time.

Man: Dude I was just geeking all last period
Friend: Sounds like you had a major "geek sesh" man

geek rich 

When a person has a small, minimally furnished apartment, and low quality car, because they spend all of their money on all of the newest high-end electronics.

These can include T.V.'s, sound systems, computers, cell phones, etc.

Similar to the concept of being hood rich.

Jeff: "I thought Andy landed a high paying job. Why is he still living in an apartment and driving that Geo?"

Tom: "He can't afford them man, he's totally geek rich."

geek thing

The act of moving your head in a circular motion. (front, right, back, left), moving your body as little as possible. Best performed by those with longer necks. Sometimes used as a 80's-style dance move, or as an insult to annoy other drivers on the road.

"Did you see that car that just passed us? Those kids in the back were doing the geek thing to us!"

geek pride 

Pride to be geek! Geeks who don't hide their culture from outsiders have pride.

Naming your real hobbies on your first dates is geek pride.
Wearing your geeky t-shirts in public is geek pride.
Going to geek pride parades is ... geek pride.

When you're interested in it more than mainstream and you're happy to tell the world: geek pride.

You see that guy with the Bungie t-shirt? That's geek pride.

Nah, can't come to your party, got a raid on!

Hey, you read XKCD? Yeah? Have you seen yesterday's? We gotta do that!

... so he was like, it's just not solveable or if it is, only in ridiculous time. And BAM, I do it in < 30 sec with Jordan blocks. Right? Yeah!!

Requirement to be accepted as a respectable member of the geek community. Can and should be revoked by other respectable geeks for doing non-respectable-geek things.

Ben's Geek card was revoked when he aquired a girlfriend that was not a fellow geek.

geek cred 

Similar to street cred, but applicable to geeks. Geek cred is allocated by displaying knowledge of different aspects of geek culture such as Star Wars, anime, comic books, etc.

1."The new guy at work complimented me on my InuYasha t-shirt. And then we had a discussion about which fo the movies was the best. Major geek cred on both our parts."

2."You have the un-edited original trilogy ripped from the laser discs? That's like, plus 10 geek cred"
