2: Used when saying someone you formerly dated.

Dated 

The word has traditionally referred to things that have become unfashionable or outmoded. Later it came to refer to things that were socially unacceptable to the viewing audience perhaps because of the viewers social standards. Within certain geographic areas of vermont and new hampshire it has taken on a new meaning - basically referring to things that generally suck ass.

Common usage includes sayings such as "My ex is so dated."

What losers and broke folks call beautiful craftsmanship to make themselves feel better about having ugly white walls and make it seem socially acceptable, cool, “modern” and trendy.

Also a term sheep use to feel like they fit in and to get a sense that they are cool and hip.

That hand carved mahogany dresser is so dated. The 80s want their dresser back haha. Honey where’s the white paint? let’s paint it white to match the house!

Dated (Euphemism) 

Verb

When used in blogging or chat, "Dated(euphemism)" is used to mock, criticize, or show dislike for a couple who are going out.

The euphemism in parenthesis is a way to give your opinion that there is/was no love in the relationship, but rather it is/was just based on sex and lust.

It is a very mean thing to write about another person, (but funny)

Can be used in present, past, or future tenses

After John Doe broke up with Jane last week, he Dated (Euphemism) his new neighbor Jessica. Surprisingly, the relationship did not last.
