A lower functioning state that a person goes into when they are sick. The state of being ill and feeling awful. It's the opposite of being in the zone. Coughing, sneezing, headache, running nose, stuffiness, or just generally feeling like grim
death can constitute being in Sick Mode.
Family, friends, and co-workers are expected to be understanding and give the person in Sick Mode a
break because at some point everybody has been in Sick Mode.
John: I'm can't come to
work today. I'm in Sick Mode.
Boss: Alright, feel better.
Kate:
Honey, can you take care of the
kids today. I'm in Sick Mode.
Jack: Okay. Just stay in bed and rest up. I've got this.
