stilting 

To punctuate a conversation with pauses. Oftentimes, the pauses are because the person is coming up with witty puns.

Similar to the adverb "stiltedly".
Josh and Selome kept stilting the conversation with puns, but luckily Katelyn knew to expect this.

It was difficult to follow the conversation because both parties kept stiliting.

Svelting 

Any process by which one achieves a svelte person. This can be working out, dieting, or other (though not plastic surgery), but it is not simply 'weight loss' or 'getting in shape'. It is shaping your physique in a highly conscious way with a beauty ideal that is more interested in balance and harmony than the extremes of crossfit or bodybuilding.
