Only one letter away from Idiocracy, Diocracy is a variant of democracy where voters are only presented with two legitimate choices to pick from. Typically, in a diocaracy people who chose one of the presented options are pitted against those who picked the only alternative.
Used to describe a country in which there is effectively a dictatorship because of a long serving non-elected president or family line, but whose society most resembles a capitalist democracy. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Countries with this style include: Singapore, Tunisia.
