Person of unusual character and wisdom who plays life itself for maximum experience, achievement, health or renown but mostly because we die. Longamers are typically outsiders not matching mainstream social behaviour patterns or interests as their outlook and action bias puts them at odds with immediate gratification/entertainment-based culture.

A blend of 'long game' - a term from sports or any activity where having a plan or strategy is advantageous, defining life as a game that can be played better by thinking ahead and applying wisdom in order to improve outcomes for oneself, society or civilization.

In psychology, an implementation of delayed gratification over a long term, such as a career or a lifetime, by a longamer, in order to attain and sustain advantages in health, success, wellbeing, creativity, legacy etc.

Fuck this instant gratification rat race, from now on I'm playing the longame; staying in shape and taking responsibility for life - no more consuming bad food and entertainment like the herd, I'm officially a longamer.
