cornball

coming from the word corn(y), a cornball is like a country bumpkin or dimwitted person such as a redneck; having to do with activities of such people.

The current president of the U.S. is a cornball. G. W. Bush invented the notion of WMDs in Iraq because he just wanted to have a war during his administration. To say Iraqis were freedom-hungry and that the USA was spreading freedom are cornball excuses for going to war.

afternoon delight

n. the sex act (fucking)

Up until about 1950 in small town America, business and shops often closed for lunch from 12 to 2 and the merchant (man) went home for lunch. It didn't take two hours to eat, so a little afternoon delight became a part of the routine between 12 and 2.

Honey, have dinner (as the noon meal was called then) on the table when I get there. We're gonna eat fast and spend the rest of the time in a little afternoon delight.
