Umbra

The complete shadow present during an eclipse.

From my vantage point in the helicopter, i could see where the line between the umbra and the penumbra was on the ground.

aohell

The service provided by America Online ™ which is plagued by slow downloads, dropped connections, long dial-up times, and less-then-great customer service. Now overly priced service for Grannies with new computers who picked up a free cd at the grocery store.

I gotta get rid of aohell and get me some DSL.
'F#@%ing Aohell... I was 14 seconds from finishing a download and I got dropped.

quarter life crisis

The psychological strain that is encountered on one's 25th birthday. Subject often realizes that he/she has lived a quarter century and still hasn't done anything consequential.

I think Roger is going through a quarter life crisis. He's been talking about going back to college so he can actually get a real job someday.

1) That japanese kid is smart. He got his PHD before he was 20.
2) Jennifer is finally loosening up. Back in high school she was just too book-smart and had no clue about what was going on.
