A nickname for Minnesota.
Based on the fact that the majority of Minnesotans refer to soda as pop, so you replace the "sota" with "pop"... Hence, Minnepop.

"Ooh can I have some of your pop?"
"It's SODA. Not pop."
"This is Minnesota. We say pop."
"Exactly. Minne-SODA. Not Minnepop."
