A criminal offense that combines the act of breaking into a building or residence with a sexual assault.

Sexual burglary is distinct from other crimes because the primary goal is often the sexual gratification of the offender, though there may also be theft of property. Often the items stolen are fetishistic in nature, such as perfume or undergarments.

first served, first come

A play on the words "first come, first served" which appears on a banner advertising the "Temple of Eros Annual Orgy and Buffet" in the Mel Brooks film "History of the World, Part I".

I was searching for the classic film "One girl, two cups" when I stumbled on this phrase, which appears during a scene set at a Roman bazaar/ "First served, first come" at an orgy is humorously playing on the original phrase "first come, first served" in retail or the related "first in, first out" in accounting or computing science.

PEnnsylvania 6-5000

The telephone number of the former Hotel Pennsylvania (1919-2020) opposite Penn Station in midtown Manhattan, NYC.

Glenn Miller performed live network radio broadcasts from the hotel's Café Rouge ballroom in 1940, using the hotel's telephone number in one of the song titles.

The elements of the original PEnnsylvania 6-5000 are all a distant memory. The original Penn Station was torn down in 1963, the hotel in 2020. Glenn Miller did deploy a band to entertain troops in World War II and is missing in action. A call to +1-212-PE6-5000 today just gives an interactive voice response message announcing that the hotel is permanently closed.

Zim dollar

A basket case of a currency which has circulated at various times in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) - an impoverished nation which was once the breadbasket of Africa.

At one point, the country's currency plunged to a record low Z$28,4 quadrillion to the U.S. dollar, triggering massive price increases with hyperinflation estimated at over a quintillion percent, although no one really knows.

vasectomy housing

In residential land use planning, a development which consists entirely of small apartments intended to house no more than two people each. The logic presumably is that, while landlords are severely restricted in their ability to turn prospective tenants away for having bred like crack-addled rabbits, they are able to turn people away if housing them would mean overcrowding a rental unit... so conveniently there are no units available with space for you and your hellspawn.

Nominally, while regulations vary between regions, the only opportunity for a slumlord to expressly declare a residential development "adults only" often is to force everything 55+ as a retirement or seniors' home. Vasectomy housing avoids the issue by building apartments small enough that there's really no room for all of these extra little people. While they won't say so publicly, local councils are well aware that building this sort of development means less burden on schools, playgrounds or other infrastructure.

free speech

Something in which the phone company does not believe.

I just got my telephone bill today. Unless I pay a small fortune, they're sending in the phone cops. Ouch!

I guess that Cracked and Mad magazines were correct... the telephone company does not believe in free speech.
