The power.
What is 'power'?
You may think power I 'The Greatest Thing'. If it isn't then it's

'The Worstest Thng'.
According to 'no_one_2000', Power is:
Power is most simply defined in Physics as the rate at which work is done. More specifically, it's the ratio of work to time. See below for an interesting usage of "power."
I think power is the most simplified thing in the universe.

The "spice"

The "spice" (melange: means mixture in French) is a common reason for life widening. It is in the Dune novel that it first appears (actually, it came in the 1750's). The "spice" in Dune is important because it can extend your life. Also addictive if you didn't take Bene Gesserit training. It is found in Arrakis, informally called Dune. stolen by the Harkonnens, CHOAM, Spacing Guild and House Corrino.

John used the "spice" without proper Bene Gesserit training; he died.
