Cynic
A derogatory term for a realist.
I am not a cynic. I simply expect less of people because I know they will always find a way to disappoint me.

Haphephobia
A relatively rare (and very real) phobia characterized by an irrational fear of physical contact. People with haphephobia tend to recoil in fear when someone touches them, especially without consent. It doesn't seem horrible, but it's just like all phobias: You don't know how serious it is unless you have one.
There are two major differences that can be used to distinguish between haphephobia and someone who is just very jumpy:
1. Jumping out of your skin because a stranger randomly touched you is normal. Nearly having a heart attack because a close friend or family member accidentally brushed against you is NOT normal.
2. Remember that it's IRRATIONAL. Being receptive to touch because you suffer from allodynia or some other form of skin sensitivity is perfectly normal. But if it happens for seemingly no reason and you know it; THAT is not normal.

"Hey guys. This is my little brother, Steven."
"Aww, he's so cute!"
"Wait -- don't touch him, he-"
"AAAAHHH!"
"...He has haphephobia."

Reddit 50/50
A well-known subreddit where all the images have the "spoiler" tag by default. Above each post is a description of two things that you may see if you click the image. (The website chooses which one it will be at random.)One of them is typically quite pleasant, while the other is...not so pleasant.
For example, you may see a 50/50 where one of the possible posts is a bunch of kittens sleeping in a box, while the other option is a man waking up from anesthesia while undergoing open-heart surgery. (This is just an example. But the bad outcome is not an exaggeration; some of them are actually very graphic and utterly terrifying.)
...You get the idea. This subreddit can either make your day, or it can scar you for life.

Reddit 50/50 is a very popular challenge with Youtubers. But please, enter it at your own risk. You may want to puke if you get the bad outcome one too many times.

CCR Syndrome
CCR Syndrome is very common with singers who have very prominent and usual accents. John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival is notorious for this, hence the name; his strong accent makes some of the lyrics damn near impossible to understand. It's particularly annoying on songs such as "Green River" and "Travelin' Band."

Bridge Over Troubled Water
Quite possibly the only Simon and Garfunkel song where Garfunkel sings lead vocals and/or doesn't just harmonize with Paul Simon. Funnily enough, it is widely considered their best song.

I Am A Rock
An upbeat song by Simon and Garfunkel about...being a depressed recluse. "A rock feels no pain, and an island never cries."
(Paul Simon)
A winter's day
In a deep and dark December
(Both)
I am alone
(Simon)
Gazing from my window
To the streets below
On a freshly-fallen, silent shroud of snow
(Both)
I am a rock, I am an island
