Roy Sullivan

A park ranger who was struck by lightning SEVEN times throughout his life, committed suicide after getting friendzoned in his seventies, and then got struck by lightning an eighth time, six feet under.
Roy Sullivan would have been awesome to have as a grandfather. Can you just imagine being able to say that your grandpa is a "Human Lightning Rod"?

Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness

Sesquipedalian (adj.)

(Of a word) Containing many syllables.

(Of a person) Having an advanced vocabulary.

Loquaciousness (adj.)

(Of a person) Having a tendency to talk a lot; garrulous.

(Of a sentence) Using far more words than necessary; verbose.

Therefore, "Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness" refers to the tendency of a (usually) highly intelligent person to use extremely large words in mass quantities in order to sound more intelligent. Commonly found in chemistry and other ambitious majors.
Done right, it makes the person sound like someone who oughta be respected and paid attention to, because they definitely know what they're talking about.

Done wrong, it makes the person sound condescending and/or pretentious.
I started playing Words With Friends with Stephen. Terrible mistake. I should have known his sesquipedalian loquaciousness would give him the advantage. He wipes the floor with me every time!
The word "Woke" has a very broad definition that is very hard to define. In conservative/right-wing terms, it approximately means "putting politics or sexual education where it shouldn't be." Though it is more often than not used as an umbrella term for anyone who disagrees with them.
Not to be confused with "Awake," which means "aware of what is happening in the world."

See also: "Go Woke, Go Broke," a short rhyme also used by conservatives to describe how a company's profits seem to nosedive when it becomes "woke"." Surprisingly, it's not far from the truth.
Disney has lost more than $40 billion since they went woke. Parents around the world have furiously stood up against them, and many more have vowed to never visit a Disneyland resort ever again in their life.

Sudden Song

A Sudden Song is a song that starts very abruptly. It typically opens with the singer/band screaming the chorus, with not even a single second of instrumental before it.

A Sudden Song generally scares the shit out of the person vibing to their music, especially when it's preceded by a song that is very calm/quiet.

The Beatles are notorious for this, particularly with the songs "Paperback Writer", "With A Little Help From My Friends", and "Can't Buy Me Love".
Person: "Ah, that was a nice, slow song. I really needed to relax. I wonder what's next."

Journey: "ANY WAY YOU WANT IT, THAT'S THE WAY YOU NEED IT-"

Person: "HOLY SHIT!" *Scrambles to turn the volume down* "Those damn sudden songs!"

Ghosts n Goblins

One of the most frustrating and overrated video games of all time.
Ghosts n Goblins is fun...if you like:

-Enemies spawning directly on top of you

-Dying in two hits when there's shit happening all around you and your character has the agility of a tortoise

-Not being able to fire your weapon at an angle (only straight forward) when almost all of the enemies in the game are flying or are otherwise above you

-Beating the exact same game twice just to get the true (shitty) ending

-Being forced to use bad/defective weapons because the weapons you want to use don't work on the boss

Enjoy!

Hatred-Induced Exaggeration

When a person exaggerates how bad something is due to sheer anger.
The AVGN is notorious for Hatred-Induced Exaggeration. While most of his reviews are brutally honest and to the point, sometimes he's just complaining to complain.
For example, in the Dick Tracy episode, he gets mad because "the driving controls are bad" and "the snipers (outside) are far too accurate." In reality, however, the driving controls are extremely simple; and the snipers are not NEARLY as accurate as they appear in the video. Not that it makes the game even remotely passable.

Silver Surfer (NES)

A video game adaptation of Silver Surfer. It would have been a pretty kickass game if not for the fact that it's one of the hardest games on the NES, for all the wrong reasons.
Generally, it is frowned upon to say that a game is bad because it's "too difficult." After all, just because it's hard, doesn't mean it's bad.

But with Silver Surfer (NES), it does. If you've ever watched the AVGN's review of it, all I can tell you is...HE'S NOT EXAGGERATING.
