An expletive used in place of a swear word around little children or by someone who is a prick and just won't conform to everybody's standards.

It is used to describe a substance at....

Temperature: 0°C, 32 F, 273.15 K (kelvin)

It is often used to describe gasses.

The water was starting to freeze at STP.
At STP one mole of gas will occupy 22.4 liters.
