If the lead singer wasn't the girl next door, it would never bother her enough for her to bring it up in a conversation. Really, she just wants the image of something other than the girl next door, and the power that goes with it (to overrun neighbors that disagree with her). No amount of complaining about how females are treated unjustly by the industry will create artificial respect that wasn't there before, since any respect gained as a result of an artificial image would be artificial respect. Some people just say they are at odds with an industry that pays them more than most people make to get publicity and support from those same people that go out and buy their music with the little bit of money they do make at work, but these aren't multi-millionaires most of the time purchasing albums by groups like Evanescence. These aren't people that would be listened to if they complained the way Evanescence or Taylor Swift or other musical artists are listened to when they whine about unjust treatment or not getting paid as much as they think the world owes them.
Evanescence is a group led by a girl that was once the girl next door to somebody growing up, so why should their lead singer be a bigger deal than that? Why should anybody for that matter?

The people most desperate to get respected, people like Patrizia Reggiani, Anna Delvey/Sorokin, Ezra McCanless, or the Ponzi scheme folks were usually dorks growing up.

Someone with that absorbs the negative image others don't want for themselves, as most people want to make themselves look good at any cost to others.

Didn't readily accept everything they heard or were told by the media or other sources, thought for themselves about something.
Bad things would happen to any male that even questioned whether the girl was really raped, or whether anybody would really rape/want to rape her, or whether they found her attractive or not (regardless of what other guys thought), since to do so was to question her authoritie. She must not have liked anyone of the opposite sex challenging her authoritie too much, since that made it harder for her to dominate members of the opposite sex. If a guy said he was raped, nobody would hesitate to question it or laugh at him, since guys aren't special or remarkable.

There's a lot of people that think the Milwaukee Bucks are a better team with better players that put more effort into each game than the Phoenix Suns right about now. You do have athletes that try to go beyond 100 percent for some reason, especially in the playoffs. Enjoying a sport for the original reason it was started is lost when people do that, since they're trying to make it more than a game and trying to get people to take it beyond seriously. It's bad enough that sports of all things are taken as seriously as they are, and that people try to add a level of pressure to them that make them the opposite of enjoyable. Sports are games and not life or death scenarios, and people seem to forget that.
The Phoenix Suns are the underdog in the NBA Finals, no matter what anybody tells you about their record or rankings. They are the team that hasn't won a single NBA championship yet, not the Bucks.

Someone that wants to be a socialite. Someone that has to pretend to be somebody else to get accepted by a group of people, usually because their life would be boring, unoriginal, unimaginative, and plain without the pretense of being this other intriguing person that people are actually interested in/pay attention to, or want to know/want around.
The actress was a natural tomboy and was naturally loose in social situations, and the dork was so impressed by her that she was everything the dork wanted to be (except a scam artist/poseur). The actress wasn't someone people wanted to go away whenever she was around, even as herself, and that was the difference between the actress as herself and the dork when she tried to be herself.

The guy seemed like he was more focused on the butterfly he was going to pull the wings off later that day than on the coronavirus in one of his speeches about the virus, until another dark thought came into focus a few seconds later. His ADD wouldn't let him stick with the coronavirus.
Donald Trump's sister- You're afraid of my brother.
Manolo (trying not to freak out when he hears the name Donald Trump)- Look, I'm not afraid of anybody all right?
