Olympics

It's one thing for people that don't know the athletes to not go to the Olympics, but it really is a little bit fucked up to not allow the families of athletes in the buildings, which seems a lot like not letting the family of someone with the coronavirus in the hospital to visit. That doesn't seem like the way to treat people, and why should anybody that does treat people that way be trusted?

People want to be there for their family members to cheer them on even during hard times, and times that aren't fairweather days. The Olympics is no different than any other sports event in that sense, even if the scale is thought to be grander.

If someone wasn't having the police press people they identified as "innocent" bystanders, why would anybody know what time the police usually back off at? It's not the kind of thing most people learn from experience, as jobs make it hard for most people to have the luxury of staying up until dawn on a regular basis.

Unless someone was having the police press people, why would they know what time the police back off at? Jobs prevent most people from having the luxury of staying up until dawn on a regular basis, and learning it from experience.

Innocent bystander

There's no such thing as an innocent bystander in real life. People are not animals, and are therefore not innocent in the true sense of the word. Every person thought to be a bystander has done something wrong in their life, and many if not most of them are usually not standing by in a passive manner most of the time, despite the bystander description some people use for them.

There is no such thing as an innocent bystander. To call someone an innocent bystander is to underestimate them.

Trash Cans

The Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox conspired with the San Francisco Giants to bang on trash cans again, since nobody would expect them to be stupid enough to do that more than once. The more teams that are in on it the merrier, especially if they get caught again, it's not just one team getting caught.

MLB investigators- Are you guys banging on trash cans again?
Houston Astros- We're not not banging on trash cans. Everybody is watching the Olympics, why not?

Ratted

Ratting somebody out in past tense.

The Astros ratted on the Red Sox who then ratted on the Giants. Now none of these guys are suprised when other guys on their team aren't inviting them in their homes.
