Welcome back

A welcome is something you'll never need from anybody when you're home, in your own neighborhood, especially not from someone that isn't even from your neighborhood.

The outsiders were always the first ones to try to welcome back the guy to his own home and neighborhood for some reason. The people that were also from the neighborhood originally weren't overly curious or interested in what the guy was doing, they also weren't the ones always trying to change the neighborhood, that was mostly outsiders or newcomers doing that. Most people originally from there liked things the way they always had been, without needing them to change.

Someone that supervises.

Ashton was always getting shushed by her chaperone, she hated it.

Simone Biles

The gymnast alive now that could get more medals than any other male or female gymnast one day, but there's always going to be somebody trying to throw the favorite off course with setbacks, which is why it helps when the favorite stays humble enough not to buy in to everything the media tries to build them up to.

There are forces that will conspire to throw someone like Simone Biles off, as they would with other favorites. People like that dedicate every bit of energy than Olympic athletes dedicate to going for a medal to throwing the game, the race, or the event.

Purse dog

Someone that claims to be more fiery when they grow up.

The purse dog might have been laughable as a kid (with nicknames like mouth of the south coming from both other kids and adults) but he/she spent his/her entire life trying to turn the tables and get revenge on the Goliaths of his/her youth, gathering marauders for support.

Stuck

Not going anywhere.

Cartman wanted to try being a failure for fun, to see what it was like, but didn't want to get stuck as a failure all the time, like when he started pretending to have Tourette's to fuck with people's lives, then he ended up really being stuck with Tourette's and only his stuffed animals would tell him he was awesome, at least that was what he saw in his hallucination. Perhaps there was justice in the world.

Hamlet

Sounds like a cut of meat from a piglet. Kind of like veal comes from a calf, a baby cow.

They had green eggs and hamlet for breakfast.

Mid 20s

A time when you start feeling old because you've been out of high school more than 5 years (you don't still take the same chances you did in high school), but you don't know yet that in 10 years, you won't feel as old as you did in your mid twenties, even though you'll actually be a lot older than you were in your mid twenties.

Your mid 20s isn't an easy time because you haven't lived long enough to know that if you find your rythym, even if you've done it before more than once, it isn't just luck, or who you were yesterday.
