assassination 

People don't rob somebody with automatic weapons for 100 dollars and under. There are bank robbers that go out of their way to keep people alive for millions of dollars. If someone is risking their life, freedom, and someone else's life for 100 dollars, the cash the clerk had on hand was never the prize. The payoff was either going to come later if the assassins didn't get caught, or they were taking a fall for somebody else by getting caught.

The assassination was made to look like a robbery, as many are. Robberies and accidents tend to be two things an assassin falls in love with as a go to explanation for why an unsuspecting target ended up dead.

Mythology 

Something that isn't real, but based on myth.

The strange bubbly girl didn't seem to know that mythology wasn't real, since she was always talking about the gods on everything, even sports.

Unicorn 

An animal that isn't real.

When someone says that he/she became a unicorn in prison, they're really saying that he/she became fake or cartoonish in prison. But if it happened in prison, didn't it happen before prison too, even if nobody noticed? Wasn't this person always a phony deep down?

Mollycoddle

Someone that hears nothing but nice, positive things about themself all day long.

The politician had become a mollycoddle after years of people playing up to him/her. No wonder he/she blew his/her brains out all over rotten.com, there was nobody around him/her that would tell him/her what they really thought (as naive as it would be to do so).

Zombie fire 

It seems like a smoldering wildfire would melt all the snow packed on top of it. Even if people are told the fires that start in the spring in Siberia come from wildfire smoldering under the snow, it seems like the snow would either extinguish the fire or melt in the process.

Handout 

Nowadays if you're too proud to ask for a handout, they've made it so that you can't also be too proud to wear a mask or get a vaccine and keep your job. One way or the other, people are forced into doing what they are told these days, or ending up with no home.

You can only be too proud to ask for a handout when it's still an option among other options. When you're backed in a corner, there's not much you can face head on, even if you're the kind of person that would still try anyway.
