Get the Pacifistmug. One difference between a comedian and a joke is a comedian isn't usually desperate to get respected or taken seriously. Another difference between a comedian and a joke is a comedian is not desperate to come off as someone with a sense of humor. Yet another difference between a comedian and a joke is a comedian doesn't usually try to come off as more than a comedian (sex symbol, action/war junkie, athlete/jock, political activist/world leader, rock star, martial arts fighter, assassin, and so on added on as extra for some comedians).
The comedian just makes people laugh, he/she doesn't claim to be the underdog comedian, the comedian who tries to do work in five different areas so the people who laughed at him would take him seriously, he/she just makes people laugh which is why he/she is funny and some jokes are not.

The true narcissist is the one who's always claiming to be in awe of somebody else. Most people know that there's not a whole lot to be impressed by in other people, they're human (and inhuman), and they don't pretend to be impressed by anybody in particular.

Get the Narcissistmug. Race relations seemed better and less divided a few years ago, back when the Confederate statues were still around. At least back then, even if they argued at times, they were still talking points. Now that the statues aren't there people are expected to forget history, change, and compromise. That won't make anything better. Before the statues were removed people said they were divisive, but race relations seemed to do well. Now that they've been removed, people really are more divided.
Race relations don't improve if people don't get to discuss history from all angles, even the unpopular (unprofitable) ones. As long as one group wants another group to change, forget, or compromise, things aren't going to get better, they're going to keep getting worse. Sometimes (actually many times throughout history) things were already as good as they were going to get, then people were people, and they still wanted change, and they thought they could do better, and they all fucked it all up. They were all part of the problem, since everyone is.

Get the Race relationsmug. Insincere respect is like an insincere apology, it's about as useful to someone else as jerking off. At least have the balls to be an openly disrespectful asshole who's never going to apologize for your actions if you're not going to respect somebody ese, and you don't have to, you don't owe anybody anything.
Instead of giving someone insincere respect, just give them no respect, and let things sort themselves out, they have a way of doing that. It's even simpler than trying to speak somebody else's language with false apologies and respect to keep peace. If you have to do all that to keep peace with someone else, there wasn't meant to be any peace between the two of you.
