Fishface

The face a girl who pretends to be your friend makes before they find the spot in your ribs they're gonna put their knife (or hook).
She had the option of putting a knife or a hook between his ribs, and by the fishface she made beforehand, he thought she was gonna stick a hook in him.

Politically correct

Trying to make everything politically correct so it doesnt offend anyone is how you end up with cars with names like Solstice and Equinox instead of Cougar, Rocket, or Charger.
As soon as Charger or Challenger start becoming abusive or mean names for cars that have to be made politically correct, Detroit is going to be in worse shape than it already is since the 70s. That is progress, even if that's what a politician calls it (Democrat or Republican).

Jim cantore

The display meant for Jim Cantore most likely didn't come from somebody who was actually from Louisiana, it most likely came from somebody out of state, just like he's from out of state.
One person from out of state telling another to stay out of that state is almost the worst kind of hypocrisy there is, the worst being somebody who's not even from that state telling somebody from that state to stay out. People don't love Jim Cantore, they need to quit lying to him, especially since most of them dont know him personally and never met the guy. Seeing someone on a video on the internet isnt knowing them any more than seeing someone on TV or hearing them on the radio is knowing them.

Chicago Bears

The Bears were the closest thing to the Yankees of the NFL until last year, winning more than any other team, so this loses identity they've developed lately isn't like them.
The Chicago Bears let a team like the Green Bay Packers overtake them as the winningest NFL franchise. Where has their fighting spirit been? They should've gone out and mauled the Packers.

Gift card

An attempt to buy somebody into a line, kind of like a stimulus check.
Someone wanted more people to get in a line, this time a vaccine line, so they started offering everybody a gift card and a donut out of desperation.

Underconfidence

Underconfidence can cost you a game just like overconfidence can. If you have a 4-8 record, you're not usually going into games with too much confidence, the way a team with a 12-0 or a 10-2 record might do. Instead, you are almost to the point where you think losing the next game is the most likely thing to happen, so the little bit of extra confidence you would get from winning more games isn't there. A lot of people think it's ego that cost you a game where you were up in double digits, but if you didn't think you could get up by double digits in the first place, it's not ego or confidence that cost you the game, it was not allowing yourself to continue to believe in yourself when adversity came back. The familiar mindset of failure comes back, the hard part when you're underconfident is not letting it scare you to fail. You want for the game to be a good time for all, but a losing streak isn't a good time.
It was underconfidence that cost them the game. No matter what the coach said, or how much experience he had, they knew it wasn't their egos that cost them the game. A 4-8 record doesnt come with an oversized ego, it comes with a lack of confidence in your ability. Where a little bit of added confidence at times there was a lot of pressure could be the difference at the end of the game. Nobody naturally performs well under pressure. Nobody naturally handles a setback or a loss well. Nobody naturally deals with another person's desperation (to win at any cost) well. It's just as irrational to be underconfident as it is to be any other way, and that's why it's just as human.

Hard

Building a fire was hard to the girl, she had always had to try hard at life and common sense, she said. She always felt like she had to give over one hundred percent at everything (and that everyone else did also), especially sports (but none of this came from any authority figure or family member actually instilling this idea in her at a young age). She also thought she had to make everyone else's life difficult in the process. She always made it look like she didn't know what the fuck she was doing, and expected everyone else to be the same way, thinking of it as honesty (and expecting credit for honesty). How can anybody like someone who doesn't know what the fuck they are doing?
