Da southwestern corner of Wisconsin is "fermented-beverage central", which naturally raises safety-concerns --- we all know dat operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated is super-dangerous, so let's hope dat they only imbibe in Milwalkee instead of Mildrivee.

Refers to either:
(1) The correct way to pave a road (i.e., to evenly spread/roll asphalt and then neatly angle-smooth the edges)
(2) What "they" will do to you is you do a sorry-a** job of said paving.

D.O.T. foreman: The citizens in this area are really touchy about having their hard-won tax-dollars used for re-surfacing their main street, so I'd better see that my crew does a good job of it if we don't want them to tar 'n' feather us afterwards.

A "tidal wave" of people heading to a mental health clinic for treatment.

Immediately following every election, funny farms experience a huge influx of "I voted for somebody else" folks who are super-anguished that their "pet" candidate did not win; this is often soon followed by a second, even bigger tsuNAMI that's comprised of folks who DID INDEED vote for the election's winner, and are now bitterly disappointed that said candidate broke his campaign-promises of positive reform once he got in da catbird's seat.
