SEGA/Nintendo Fanboy

The rarest and smartest form of fanboy. Usually a SEGA fanboy and a Nintendo fanboy argue about whether SEGA is better than Nintendo, SEGA/Nintendo Fanboys like both SEGA and Nintendo and insult ps2 and xbox.

A normal fanboy will say that the company they like is better then the others without giving a reason. SEGA/Nintendo Fanboys like SEGA and Nintendo because they make great games and don't add stupid features to their consoles.

Alternate spelling: Nintendo/SEGA fanboy
Xbox fanboy: XBOX PWNS!!! IT HAS WICKED GRAPHICS!!!

Sony Fanboy: NO NO NO!!!111 XBOX DOESNT HAV ITS OWN HANDHELD!!!!! PSP PWNS!!!

Me (SEGA/Nintendo Fanboy): Uh, sorry but the Xbox may have superior graphics but it hardly has any fun games, and evn less exclusive fun games. And the PSP is crap because Sony have crammed too many features onto it, while a Nintendo DS is innovative and has fun games. When it comes to games SEGA and Nintendo make the best ones because they're fun. Nintendo is regarded as "kiddy" by you stupid Xbox and Sony fanboys because their games don't have loads of violence.

Xbox fanboy: NINTENDO SUCK XBOX HAS BETTER GRAPHICS AND HAS HALO!!!!

Nintendo 64

Nintendo's system made to compete with the Sony Playstation and SEGA Saturn. The 64 got it's name because it was 64 bit, unlike the PSX and Saturn which were 32 bit.
The 64 was the first console with an analog stick and the first console with a vibrating controller. However being a cartridge based system, it had inferior sound quality. But becuase it was a cartridge based system it was very reliable (Good luck finding a broken one.) Also cartridges have less space on them then CDs, so Nintendo lost alot of 3rd party support. Cartridges are expensive and companies didn't want to pay tons to put a huge game across multiple cartridges.
The 64 had smoother graphics then any other console that generation, though the colour palette had heaps of crappy oranges and such.
The 64's controller was revolutionary, but crap. The analog stick could be worn out quickly (If you want your controller to last stay away from Mario Party.) Also the c buttons were hard to reach.
Some popular 64 games are: Super Smash Bros, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, F-Zero X, Mario Party, Mario Tennis, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Perfect Dark, GoldenEye 007, Conker's Bad Fur Day and Lylatwars.
The Nintendo 64 was revolutionary, yet it had a crap controller and little 3rd party support. Overall, it has enough great games to warrant a purchase.

Alex Kidd

Huh! There's no definition for Alex Kidd!!! Well there must be.

Alex Kidd is a series of platformers made by SEGA. Some say Alex Kidd was the unofficial SEGA mascot before sonic.
Alex Kidd is a monkey-boy. His games are Alex Kidd in Miricle world, which was really good, Alex Kidd in shinobi world, which played like shinobi, Alex Kidd the lost stars, Alex Kidd in high-tech world (which was shit) and Alex Kidd in the enchanted castle. There was also "Alex Kidd BMX"
Alex KIdd in the enchanted castle was the only Alex Kidd game for megadrive.

final fight

A side-scroling beat 'em up that was realeased in 89 but the story happens 2 years earlier.
Mike Haggar (from saturday night slam masters) is the mayor of Metro City, the "crime captial of the world." The Mad Gear gang runs the city and they kidnap Haggar's daughter, Jessica. Haggar gets his gym buddies, Guy, the bushin ninja and Cody, the street fighter, to help him rid the city of the mad gear gang for good. They beat up tons of people using punches, kicks, throws, pilledrivers, flying kicks, knives, katanas, lead pipes etc. And they rescue Jessica and Cody knocks the leader out of a window (Shows this at the start of final fight 2, in the Japanese version anyway.)
This game was moved to so many consoles. On SNES, they removed 2 player mode, Guy and a whole level. They also changed Poison and Roxy to Billy and Sid because they thought they were transvestites and because they didn't like the idea of hitting women (Which completly contradicts the first thing.) Damnd and Sodom were changed to Thraser and Katana.
The story of Final Fight 2 is Mad Gear regroups and goes international. They capture Guy's girlfirend (Or wife... or something) Rena and Guy's master's master. Maki, Rena's sister rings up Haggar and asks him to help get them back. He does, with the help of Carlos, someone who is staying at Haggar's place at the time. No Cody or Guy, they were either training, in jail or doing the street fighter alpha stuff. Anyway, the three beat Mad Gear, this time for good.
In final fight 3, Haggar, Guy (By now the events of street fighter Alpha 1, 2 and 3 are over) a cop called Lucia and a street fighter who had his family mudered, Dean, fight the Skull Cross gang who took over after Mad Gear was destroyed. They beat the leader and knock him into some high voltage electricity thing.

There were so many conversions of the original (Final Fight for sega cd, gba etc.) There was also final fight revenge but people still wonder if this has anyhting to do with the story line. There's also a few gaps between the games coz the whole story line consists of street fighter games, saturday night slam masters and a whole lot of other games.
Streets of Rage was a total rip-off of Final Fight but still a good game. Final Fight is the King of beat 'em ups!

SEGA Saturn

SEGA 32 bit system. It was made to compete with Sony's Playstation and the Nintendo 64.
SEGA originally designed the Saturn for 2D games and were like "Oh shit" when they saw the playstation. The saturn's controller was very similar to the PSX's, (Playstation) except it had 6 buttons in the normal position and 2 shoulder buttons, as the PSX had the SNES 4 button layout with 4 shoulder pads. The saturn's controller was a 6 button SEGA megadrive (SEGA Genesis) controller with shoulder buttons.
The controller was evolutionary of the Megadrive's offering, just like the console was meant to be. The saturn could do a better job of 2D then the PSX and 64, but 3D wasn't as good. With the help of an expansion the saturn could even run some 2D fighters better then the SEGA Dreamcast could. Still, games like Daytona USA are Playstation quality.
The console sold less then 10 million units world wide, mainly due to alot of the good games weren't realeased outside of Japan, and it wasn't as 3D efficent as it's opponents.
The console had decent sales in Japan, less the the PSX's but the Saturn sold more games: The saturn was more liked by people dedicated to gaming.
Also it had a battery for save files, there was a memory card but it was expensive.
Some of the Most popular Saturn games are: NiGHTS into Dreams, Panzer Dragoon series, Dragon force, Guardian heroes, Daytona USA, SEGA rally championship, Virtua Fighter, Fighting Vipers, Fighters Megamix, Radiant Silvergun and more...
The saturn was not as revolutionary as the PSX or 64 but in many ways better for 2D games.
