Deehser

See: Sinnohfetus and Genfiver

Basically the modern day Genwunner (as of 2025).

They are a part of the Pokémon Community who claim that the DS Era of Pokémon was the peak of the franchise, and that the series declined when X and Y released. They usually grew up with games from the DS Era and hold a lot of nostalgia for them (just like Genwunners did for RBY). They praise the DS games to death and skim over any flaws persistent in them (such as DPPt's poor wild encounter variety and HMs being a requirement to get anywhere, HGSS retaining GSC's bad level curve and making it worse, or BW's massive postgame level jump and blatantly obvious villains).

Unlike Genwunners that were just a meme and often got made fun of, Deehsers are just annoying nostalgia blinded Pokémon fans.

Name Origin: Deehs (from DS) + -er (from Genwunner)
Person 1: "The DS games were so peak! Everything fell off after Pokémon went 3D. Modern games are too watered down!"

Person 2: "Bro, can you NOT be a Deehser for once? Games like Sun and Moon and Legends: Arceus were amazing, and they were modern games."

Sex Position

Something that The Urban Dictionary is way too obsessed with.
If it exists, someone on the Urban Dictionary has turned it into a Sex Position.

Nintendo Hate Grifter

A YouTuber that dedicates their channel mostly hating on Nintendo or Nintendo fans for the sake of money or clout, rather than actual concern for the direction the company is going. They will post daily nonstop videos bashing Nintendo because the algorithm benefits from negativity and upload frequency. They either made their channels specifically to hate on Nintendo, or shifted their channel focus to hating Nintendo when it became the popular thing to do. Calling them out for grifting will lead to you being labeled a shill or a bootlicker, regardless of if you agree or disagree with Nintendo's decisions.

Note: Criticising Nintendo's anti-consumer actions doesn't automatically make you a grifter. Problems arise when your criticism turns into a content farm for the algorithm.

How to tell if someone is a Nintendo Hate Grifter:

-Near-Daily Uploads Hating on Nintendo or its fans
-Use of AI in thumbnails
-Misinformation that can be debunked by a Google search ("You don't own the console", "$90 Games")
-They began hating Nintendo after the whole $450 Switch 2 situation
-Their content style is similar to other Nintendo Hate Grifters
"Nintendo Hate Grifters have made it hard to tell if a video criticising Nintendo was made out of genuine concern or just because it's trendy."
