Kaioshin (or supreme Kai, in the english dub of DBZ, of the dragonball series), is the supreme overseer of the entire universe, his vision allows him to see any event taking place anywhere in the universe. His "kai kai" technique allows him to teleport to anywhere in the universe regardless of whether or not a ki signature is there.
He can also summon any material in the universe in any shape at will into thin air, he can also read the mind of anyone in the universe. He uses the name "Shen" to enter in the world material arts tournament.

Get the Kaioshinmug. Son Goku's Saiyan name. The name is a pun on carrot, as is the name of his home planet Vegeta, (vegetable), if you notice, most saiyan names are puns on vegetables. Raditz = Radish, and so on.
Vegeta only refers to Son Goku as Kakarot because (or it as at least implied), that he doesn't recognize Goku has an earthling, because he was born saiyan, and he believes he should take pride in that fact, however Goku thinks otherwise, he wants nothing to do with the saiyans due to their violent and merciless nature, and prides himself on being raised an earthling.

Everyone in otherworld knows him to be an extremely talent material arts master, and training under him is a very special privilege, attained only by either winning it as a prize, or for training for thousands of years.

Get the Grand Kaimug. The result of fusing Goku and Vegeta using the Potara Earrings. This fusion is permanent until he enters Majin Buu's body and let's down his energy shield, forcing the two to separate due to Buu's magical nature. His fusion dance counterpart is Gogeta.

Get the Vegitomug. A Super Saiyan is a Saiyan that has gone beyond their limits through training. The Super Saiyan transformations yields a 50x increase in power with each level. Goku is the first to achieve this level. Any saiyan with enough power can transform with sufficient emotional need (usually the pain of loss).
There are 4 different super saiyan levels:
1. Super saiyan
1a., Ascended Super saiyan, achieved by sacrificing a bit a speed for a large power increase, 1b; Ultra Super Saiyan, sacrificing more speed for an even bigger increase in power. Both states requires going beyond normal super saiyan limits.
2. Super Saiyan 2: This state is achieved when a saiyan goes beyond his natural super saiyan limits, and the user is enraged enough to achieve this transformation; usually through the pain of loss.
3. Super Saiyan 3: This state is achieved when a super saiyan 2 has surpassed it's natural limits and a deeper power buried far within is available. Takes a lot of practice to transform quickly. It requires an immense amount of power to sustain, and constantly drains the users energy.
4. Super Saiyan 4: The pinnacle of Saiyan power, this state is achieved when the user is transformed into a Golden Great Ape (A super saiyan who transforms at the full moon) and becomes conscious of his new power. As with all super saiyan transformation, the user's power is increased 50 fold.

Get the Super Saiyanmug. Kamehameha translated literally from phonetic Japanese to English means "Turtle Destruction Wave".
Kame (turtle) Hameha (destruction wave/blast)
This attack was created by Master Roshi during his material arts training. The Kamehameha wave sacrifices attack preparedness and speed in order to cause massive damage.
Variations:
Instant Kamehameha: Seen only once in the Cell Games Saga, while Goku is fighting Complete Cell, he is losing energy rapidly and pushes his remaining energy into one wave, at first it seems like he is going to destroy the planet and take Cell with him, however at the last minute he uses Instant Transmission (the technique of forming your physical body into mass a light and traveling to a location of somebody's Ki to teleport directly in front of cell, thus canceling out Kamehameha's low rate of speed, and the time it takes to build up the attack
Big Bang Kamehameha: Gogeta's take on the Kamehameha and the Big Bang Attack, derived from Goku and Vegeta receptively.
In the first season, after Goku gets back from his training with North Kai, he uses the 4x Kaioken technique to increase the power of his wave, at the point where Vegeta tries to destroy the planet using his Galick Gun (a technique similar too, and is presumably as powerful if not moreso than a Kamehameha, this is hinted at because it takes a long time to gather the energy to fire this attack).
