fixed speed camera

1. A politically correct form of government tax.

2. A device located at a statistically safe location, but where the 85th percentile road speed is more than the legally posted speed limit.

3. A device that is used to automate a portion of busy police officers' work. So they have more time to eat doughnuts.

"If we put up another tax, the people will have a fit"
"That's OK, just put up another speed camera"

G.P.S.

A deviced used by those who have no idea where they are, to assist them in going nowhere in particular, using the shortest possible route.

A GPS knows where it is, by subracting where it used to be, from where it isn't.

The Microsoft of the music world.

The RIAA is in the business of using other people's work to make money and take all the credit, all the while suing those who do not comply with "their" way.

McDonalds

A family restaurant that parents loudly complain that their food is fattening, unhealthy and oppose when a McDonalds is due to open directly opposite their children's school.

Yet regularly hold birthday parties there- for children.

"A McDonalds is opening opposite the so-and-so school"

"Oh my God! That's where my child goes! Well, at least we don't have to travel far when it's their birtday".
