Cup monkey

People, usually kids, running around Festival venues collecting plastic or paper cups to return them and get a cash refund. Normally spotted with unbelievably high stacks that they somehow are able to carry. Some can over enthusiastically try and take cups before you’ve actually finished! Great way though to tackle litter collection and recycling!
There’s loads of cup monkeys snatching your beer before you’ve even had the chance to finish it!

plot to plate

When someone grows their own fruit or vegetables or buys them direct from a farm shop so you can literally serve them directly from where they’ve been grown to your serving plate.
That’s a fantastic farm shop - love plot to plate!

farm to fork

Where you buy meat from a farm shop, artisan / farmer’s market or butchers that sources their meat from a local farmer (or they even are the farmer) and sell it directly to you to serve up and eat.
I love cooking with fresh local meat - can’t beat farm to fork!

throners

Collective name for huge Game of Throne fans who are avid watchers of the HBO tv series and often travel to its film locations.
Throners love crawling up the steps at Carnlough Harbour and pretending they’re on the Canal Steps in Braavos.
