(Serbo-Croatian, n.) - Originally coming from a word Germans from the Swabian province of Germany that have settled along the Danube and Sava rivers in the Balkans up until their mass exodus during the early days of SFR Yugoslavia, this word has since carried onto those of Balkan origin that live in German-speaking countries, that being Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. It carries a pejorative meaning towards those growing up in those countries to be those who are "spoiled" or have "sold their soul for money", seeing as if they only have a semblance for comparing their living conditions to those of their countries of origin.

People involved on road never say they're a roadman, because nobody actually says that since it sounds off-putting. Primarily used by Serbs and to a lesser extent Croats, this word has historical connotations to the Ottoman campaign in the Balkans where they held the region for roughly 500-600 years. During this time, many have converted to Islam and have been given prominence in Ottoman society and well-paying job opportunities, hence to "turn into little turks". To the Christians of the region, they see this as "betraying their forefathers who have rejected Christ and converted to Islam becauss they wouldve been killed for not doing so", even though there are various for the highly reported coversions in the region such as being persecuted by Serbs/Croats/other Christian-dominated groups, or merely due to land ownership opportunities.
Normally, this word could be used against Bosnians, Albanians, and Torbeš Macedonians.
