Defined; The art of being absent for undesirable duties, yet appearing as though you fulfilled those duties as fellow colleagues complete the undesirable task in your absence.

Tom was assigned the duty desk today, but was modisetted for the remainder of the shift. Someone was modisetting Tom.

Tom had to work the duty desk because he was being modisetted by a fellow employee who failed to show up. Modisetting is common in his workplace.
