Dead Souls
Song by English Post-Punk band Joy Division from their Licht und Blindheit EP as well as at least one of their greatest hits albums. The song gained huge popularity when Nine Inch Nails did an amazing cover of it for the soundtrack to the 1994 movie The Crow.
Someone take these dreams away
that point me to another day.
A Duel of personalities
that stretch all true realities.
-From Dead Souls by Joy Division and later covered by NIN
RIP Ian Curtis and Brandon Lee
and thank you Trent Reznor.

Sounding the Seventh Trumpet
The excellent debut album by Avenged Sevenfold, released in 2001 by Good Life Records and re-released by Hopeless Records the next year. This is the only album to feature original bassist Dameon Ash, featured on both versions. The original also doesn't feature lead guitarist Synyster Gates while the re-release does. The most noted track from the album is "Warmness on the Soul". This album also contains the most screaming vocals by M. Shadows.

The Damned Things
Hard Rock/Heavy Metal supergroup made up of Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano of Anthrax, Keith Buckley and Josh Newton of Every Time I Die, and Joe Thorman and Andy Hurley of Fall Out Boy, formed in 2010. They released their debut album "Ironiclast" and the first single "We've got a situation here" in Dec. 2010.
John went to see The Damned Things and was very impressed-and he doesn't even like Fall Out Boy or Anthrax.

Terrible Music
Music that just does not sound good. Simple as that.
Everyone's views on what music is terrible varies, but basically about all modern day/mainstream rap music (maybe except Eminem) is a terrific example of terrible music.

Airplane!
Hilarious 1980 movie. After the navigator and both pilots are among multiple people on an airline heading to Chicago from Los Angeles that get sick from some strange foodbourne illness, a doctor and two flight attendants seek the help from everyday man Ted Stryker (the ex-lover of one of the flight attendants) who has trouble just going near a plane since he made what he believed to be a bad move during an airstrike in the Vietnam War.
The movie is known for it's very random humor (i.e. a group of reporters is getting info about the crisis when one of them says "Okay boys, lets get some pictures". They then walk over to a wall with framed photographs of airlines and randomly start taking them down and walking out the door).

Ratfinks, Suicide Tanks, and Cannibal Girls
Killer song by White Zombie done for the soundtrack to the Beavis and Butthead movie. The song is known for it's African/Industrial combo drum beat. Sadly this is the last song they made and released before they split in 1998.
I got grounded for breaking everything in the room rocking out to Ratfinks, Suicide Tanks, and Cannibal Girls by White Zombie
